Uduk Hope

What Is Uduk Hope?

by Rev. Dr. Brian D. Babcock, Executive Director The Rochester Connection (RC)

Update Date: 11/12/17

Some four years ago I assisted Mr. Salle Daniel (Liasor Dima’s father) in the process of establishing a 501(c)3 Charity called Uduk Hope for the express purpose of ministering to Uduk (Sudanese) people still in South Sudan, or in refugee camps in Ethiopia, along with those who had immigrated to the USA. Click here to read a transcript of a 2010 Interview I did with Salle and his wife Rumthus.

Many of you will recognize the name Liasor Dima. The RC has been involved at several junctures in his educational journey from college to graduate school over the last three years. Christine Bell is now part of the Uduk Hope teamWe have known Christine for at least the last two years since being introduced to her by Liasor following a Studies Abroad semester in Spain where they met. A graduate of Davidson College, Christine has now finish her master’s degree in International Education Development at Columbia University in NYC.

The next phase of Uduk Hope is now underway. Liasor is now taking on a major role in this ministry. Additional leadership has been recruited to provide governance for this charity.

Now follow the pages under this Uduk Hope Tab to discover more.
