The Last Supper with Twelve Tribes by Hyatt Moore

Revelation 19:9 (NIV)
9  Then the angel said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!'” And he added, “These are the true words of God.”

One of my favorite paintings for what it represents! Carol and I first witnessed it as a mural over the entrance counter at the JAARS headquarters in Waxhaw, NC (Shown above). It is based on Revelation 19:9.

“The Last Supper with Twelve Tribes was painted in the year 2000 to commemorate the inclusion of all peoples under God. It’s oil on canvas (with acrylic under-painting) and at 20 feet wide by 4.5 feet high it is basically life size. …

Depicted (from left) are: Crow of Montana, Berber of North Africa, Masai of Kenya, China, Ecuador, Afghanistan, Jesus, Ethiopia, Tzeltal of Mexico, Canela of Brazil, Papua New Guinea, Salish of British Columbia, Mongolia.”

If you are ever traveling on I79 or I85 it is worth the side trip to visit the Museum of the Alphabet on the JAARS campus. Here are a few of my photos of this unique, creative museum.
