Home Repair Compassion Project 2014

On April, 14, 15, & 16, 2014, the RC partnered with Flower City Work Camp (FCWC) and Heart & Soul Community Church  to replace the roof and remodel a bathroom for the house pictured above (Top center and right).

Mrs. Annie Z. Harris lives in this home she bought in 1975. She is a member of St. Paul Holiness Church located near her home. Her 89-year-old sister recently moved from NJ to live with her. Her sister has been in ill health for some time. Her son, David McKnight, not a resident in the house, attends Heart and Soul Community Church (H&S). David was a major help in the H & S renovation project three years ago.

This roof had several layers of patches and repairs through the years and currently leaks. The decking needed to be replaced in many places before new shingles could be installed. The base of the fiberglass tub unit in the bathroom is crack and leaking.
