 Rev. Dr. Tracy P. Johnson (President)

Tracy is Assistant Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education, Cora P. Maloney College and Interim Director of EOP at the University at Buffalo, SUNY.  She has an earned Ph.D. at SUNY Buffalo. Tracy is an ordained minister at Elim Christian Fellowship, of Buffalo & Rochester, NY and  a Northeastern Seminary (NES) graduate. She served as Director of Admissions at NES for four years before going on to Ph.D. studies. Tracy began her term as President of the RC Board of Directors in March 2016.

Fred Johnson

Rev. Dr. Frederick J. Johnson, Sr. (Vice President)

Fred is senior pastor of First Genesis Missionary Baptist Church in downtown Rochester. The church is growing in many positive ways as it serves the needs of their people and those of the inner city of Rochester. FGMBC facilitates a number of ministries that help individuals and families break out of the bondage of poverty and addictive behaviors to lead productive lives for Jesus and their community. See: http://firstgenesis.org/. Fred is an ordained minister in the Missionary Baptist Denomination and a two-time graduate of Northeastern Seminary in Rochester, NY holding both the Master’s and D.Min. degrees. Dr. Johnson served as the first President of the RC Board of Directors beginning in 2008.

Daryl  is Pastoral Team leader for: The Orlando Fellowship-an incarnational, missional, ministry community; and Associate Professor: Mentored Ministry & Christian Leadership, the school of urban ministries, at Asbury Seminary-FL. Daryl is an ordained Elder in the Free Methodist Church USA, is a graduate of Asbury Seminary and holds the Ed.D. from the University of KY. Daryl and Carolyn continue to seek  creative and personal ways to be Jesus in a broken world–a lifestyle seen mirrored in the lives of their grown children and their families. Click Here to access books published by Daryl. Daryl begins his third term as a member of the RC Board of Directors in 3/1/16.

Rev. Dr. Brian D. Babcock

Brian is the Founding Executive Director of Rochester Connection (2008). He retired as Founding Assistant Dean and Assistant Professor of Spiritual Formation at Northeastern Seminary in 2008. Brian is an ordained Elder in the Free Methodist Church USA, married to Carol, and is a graduate of Asbury Seminary holding both the M.Div. and D.Min. degrees. He also holds earned degrees from West Virginia University (BA History and Political Science) and Miami University (Ohio) MS Ed. Personnel Counseling/Higher Education). He pastored FMCs in Texas and Kentucky before joining the Dean of Students’ staff at Roberts Wesleyan College in 1987 along with being an Assistant Professor teaching Developmental Psychology. Carol retired at the end of 2014 from a teaching career in the field of Communication at the College at Brockport, SUNY where she holds the earned degree of Master of Arts. She serves as co-leader and facilitator in ministry with her husband.

Christine Bell

Christine holds a Master of Arts degree graduate from the Teachers College Columbia University, in International Educational Development. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio Christine focuses her graduate studies on the intersection of education and international humanitarian issues, with an emphasis on refugee education. Christine has a deep love for teaching. Prior to her studies at Teachers College, she was an instructor at a bilingual school in Córdoba, Spain. She continued teaching in New York City as a tutor with the International Rescue Committee. This academic year, Christine has taken on a new role as the program coordinator for the George Clement Bond Center for African Education at Teachers College. In this position she helps to promote research and teaching concerning the African continent and the African Diaspora. Christine hopes to be a lifelong learner and educator. She is excited about working with and learning from the Uduk community here and abroad. Christine is engaged to Liasor Dima with a wedding date of  April 21, 2017.

Liasor Dima

Liasor is the son of Salle and Rumthus Daniel, regular attenders of Heart and Soul Community Church since 2000. He went to school in the Rochester City School District until 2009. A graduate of St. John Fisher College, Liasor majored in International Studies and Political Science with a minor in Spanish. At the conclusion of his four years, he pursued a graduate Master’s degree in International Security at the University of Denver in Colorado with an emphasis on forced migration as it relates to East Africa  and its development. He graduated in 2015. His passion for helping people in refugee camps only increased as his people were displaced into camps in Ethiopia and South Sudan for an 8th time in the last 25 years. Today he leads the planning and development of Uduk Hope, Inc. as well as its operations. Liasor is engaged to  Christine Bell with a wedding date of  April 21, 2017.

Mike and Bev Faro

Mike  Faro

Mike recently retired as Athletic Director at Roberts Wesleyan College.  Mike was inducted into the Wendy’s College Classic Hall of Fame in 2015. He holds the distinction of being the only person in the Classic’s 49-year history to have participated as a player (1969-1973), head men’s coach (1978-1981), head women’s coach (1993-1999), and athletic director (1989-2015) with just one institution. He is a 1973 Roberts Wesleyan College graduate and holds a Master’s in Physical Education from SUNY Brockport. Mike and Bev have a heart for the City and the marginalized of our society. They volunteer in many tutoring/mentoring and teaching ministries in Churchville and Rochester, NY. They have four grown children, five granddaughters, live in N. Chili, and  are long time members of Pearce Memorial Free Methodist church.

Bulat Bulat Resic

Bulat is an Uduk Refugee from the old Blue Nile State of Sudan before the country divided into Sudan and South Sudan. His family arrived in the USA some 16 years ago. He is an active member at Heart and Soul Community Church in Rochester and is seeking ordination.

Julie is CIO (Chief Impact Officer) at the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Rochester, NY. She has 30+ years experience in key roles as a successful entrepreneur, highly decorated sales career with expertise in customer service delivery, leadership development and organizational management. Julie specializes in strengthening businesses through coaching, training and recruitment.
